In June 2011 Maria Keavney and Katrielle Mehmet visited the Sunbeam Children’s Village in Baiwan to test the eyesight of all our children.

Students from Primary 1 at the French International School raised all the money for the expenses.

Spectacle frames were all donated by Mary O’Donnell of “Specsavers “in Kilkenny, in Ireland.

Stephanie Ho of OPTA Professional Eye care Centre provided all the new lenses for the glasses at cost price.

This is the second time that Maria has carried out eye examinations for our children and FIS have supported the project.

Very special thanks to the children of FIS, Primary 1 and to Maria and all her friends and helpers.
