The sale of Christmas cards, Christmas decorations, gifts and afternoon tea was enjoyed by all.



Swing Into Summer
May 14, 2004

The Sunbeam Children’s Foundation held a fund-raising dinner and dance with a Big Band, at Government House on Friday May 14th/2004. Our MC for the evening was Mr. Nury Vittachi.
An evening of fun, fine dining, swing and jazz music and dancing was had by all in this wonderful venue.



Sponsored walk.
November 29th/2003

The Woodland Group of Pre-Schools held a sponsored walk for the Sunbeam Children’s Foundation on November 29th/2003.The children walked around the racetrack of The Hong Kong Jockey Club in Happy Valley; activities were arranged for them along the route. It was a wonderful event and raised over $107,000. Students from Island School helped at the event and Hong Kong Sea Scouts were in attendance to provide first aid.

The donation will be used to establish an Education Fund for the older Sunbeam children, to enable them to move on to good secondary schools, tertiary education institutes, vocational training schools, agricultural colleges etc.

A fund raising cocktail event `Portraits of Baiwan’ at:
The China Tee Club, Pedder Building, Pedder Street, Central, HK.

The evening included cocktails, canapés, live music, lucky draw and sale of black & white photographs. Master of Ceremonies Mr. Nury Vittachi.

A Celebration of Light



A fund raising concert with the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong ,
The Swedish Voices Chamber Choir and MC Mr. Nury Vittachi.
Venue:
St. Johns's Cathedral, Central, Hong Kong.



January 25th 2002 - Official opening of The Woodlands Playground in The Sunbeam Children's Village, Baiwan.

November 23rd 2001 - Join Hands with China's Children fund raising Cocktail Event at The China Club.
The evening included cocktails & canapés, live music from
The Sunbeam Sound and the sale of antique birdcages donated by Mr. Philippe Chan.
There was an auction & a lucky draw. Our Master of ceremonies was
Mr. Nury Vittachi.


March 24th 2001 - Sponsored Walk


The Woodlands Pre-School group raised an amazing $170,000 with their sponsored walk for The Sunbeam Children's Foundation. This money will be used to purchase playground equipment for The Sunbeam Children's Village.



November 17th 2000 - Join Hands With China's Children : A dinner & dance held at Government House. The evening included a pre-dinner champagne reception with background music provided by piano duets accompanied by a flute. A ballroom dancing demonstration was given followed by a band 'The Sunbeam Sound' playing big band music. The band was formed especially for this event. An auction of antique Chinese garments & bird cages was held. There were lucky draws throughout the evening. Master of ceremonies was Mr. Nury Vittachi.

July 1999-The Hong Kong Medical Orchestra Charity Concert : This was a fund raising concert for the Sunbeam Children's Foundation, held at The City Hall Concert Hall.

May 29th 1999 - Portrait of Baiwan :


An exhibition of black & white photographs taken by Hong Kong Island School students and staff was held at The Ladies Recreation Club. Photographs were sold and note cards with some of the photographs used as the design. The event was from 12 noon to 9pm, with cocktails at 6pm.

Grand Opening of The Sunbeam Children's Village, Baiwan, China.



October 15th 1998 - Salsa Supremo : Held at the Jewish Community Centre. The catering was by a Cuban Restaurant. A salsa demonstration was given, followed by guests testing their salsa skills. Lucky draws were held. Master of ceremonies was Mr. Nury Vittachi.

May 15th 1998 - Join The Dream : A cocktail event held at The China Club, with an auction of paintings by the children of Baiwan. The evening was arranged by the Special Events fund raising group. Master of ceremonies was Mr. Nury Vittachi.

The Sunbeam Children's Village Ground breaking Ceremony in Baiwan, China.



October 1997- Sunbeam stall at AWA American Women's Association's All Occasions Charity Bazaar, Furama-Kempinsky Hotel and AWA Fall Bazaar, Grand Hyatt Hotel, Hong Kong.
September 1997- Sunbeam stall at 1997 Charity Christmas Card and handicraft Sale, St. John's Cathedral, Hong Kong. Printed cards with motives of Baiwan children's paintings were on sale.

June 1997-China Then and Now Gala Dinner and Antique Chinese Fashion Show with Auction coordinated by Jenny Lewis, Jewish Community Centre, Hong Kong.

April 1997 - 'Tea & Textile' Antique Chinese Textile Talk and afternoon tea with Jenny Lewis, China Tee Club

November 1996 - The Launch of the Sunbeam Children's Foundation, Dinner and Auction of Baiwan children's paintings, Ladies Recreation Club, Hong Kong.
