I am not at all your typical desert ultra-marathon runner. (What is a typical desert ultra-marathon runner?) Since returning to Hong Kong in 2003 after a varied amateur sporting career ranging from lacrosse and capoeira, to break dancing and surfing, I turned to the more mainstream hobbies of eating, shopping and drinking. Thinking that this was not the healthy lifestyle I aspired to, my Uncle David persuaded me to start running adventure races. It was the beginning of a grand love story with Hong Kong’s countryside. In November 2005, I completed the Hong Kong Oxfam Trailwalker, my longest race to date (100 km). That experience, combined with almost 2 years as a trainee solicitor at Baker & McKenzie, made me believe that no challenge was insurmountable. And I am now setting out to prove just that.

My Aunt, Dorothy, is heavily involved with Sunbeam and has has got me interested in fundraising to help China’s underprivilege children. I haven’t yet had a chance to go and visit the village, but hope to as soon as the rigorous training program eases somewhat. If anyone is interested to come along, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

I know that the Sunbeam organisation really needs your assistance and will put all funds to good (great) use. Please help by clicking on the donate button and raising funds for the Sunbeam Children’s Village in Baiwan, China. 100% of your tax deductible donation will go helping the children.

Please click on the PayPal donate button and donate to us online. Alternatively, send me an email and you can sponsor us per kilometre that we do… and give me a real reason to achieve my 250KM goal!
