What the physio therapist had to say!

January 31st, 2008 · 1 Comment

Don’t know if it is good news or bad news. My physio said I have strong outer thigh muscles and weak inner thigh muscles therefore causing my patella to be running off track and the cartilage rubbing unsmoothly, thereby cartilage deficit (don’t know if I have explained it well). He said that I would need to rest and let the cartilage grow back but the amount of training I do is faster in causing the deficit than letting it grow.

He said my case is at its early stage and that correct treatment and amount of rest, I would recover but not that fast of course. All in all he said that in reality I would still cause a deficit when walking so he told me to not do so much vigorous sports until next week and to carry on see him!

Hopeful me, hoping to be back out running soon! =) (I must say the weather in HK has been really cold lately and it has been quite hard to get out of bed, a “little” blessed that I can stay in bed for a little longer than getting out there before dawn for a run!)
