Why all the pain?? Again??? It’s been a while since our last Challenge with Joc, Lu and Don (named the ‘Little Monkeys’ after the name of the tent that we shared for a week in the Gobi desert in 2006). We’ve all grown up so much, but you’d thought we’d grown up wiser or smarter. Nonsense! We’re just older (I’m speaking for myself of course; Jocelyn is still young).
So here we are again Joc and I, heading for another desert run. I’ve been unable to train for the past two months, due to an ankle injury, but with the support of my physiotherapist, I should be back in good shape to at least complete the race in one piece.
More importantly, I’ll have the pleasure to once again help out the children of Sunbeam. When we visited the village, I was really moved by all these kids running around in such a remote village high up in the mountains. They’re so ordered and disciplined and so nice! It was a unique experience to play around and have lunch with them and to know that are in such good hands! What pleased me the most though, was to see how grateful they were, to all of you who donated. So, one more time, please reach out and donate to the Children of Sunbeam. Feel free to encourage us on our blog as well, we’ll need that!!!
