I cannot believe it has been 2 years since Gobi March 2006. Time has flown, life went on, Louise, Don, Stephane and my lives parted in there own good ways. The odd drink we would come together to laugh about silly things. As told, we would be bitten by the desert bug to return for another race but we instantaneously fired a defensive reply, ‘No, way!’. We were wrong the bug did bite us and we are back for a different desert, ‘The Atacama Crossing 2008’. Sadly, this time only Stephane and I will be facing up to the challenge, as Louise will be getting married (Congrats) and Don worked up at work with no time for training.

Having learnt so much in Gobi March 2006, from bodily changes to too much food to dressing uncool looking like I was a war zone journalist. This time I will be much more prepared with more knowledge to feed off from my experience and learning from the elite. You can read our blog which I will provide some experiences and what I learnt from past races.

We both are very honoured to return and carry on our support for Sunbeam, in July 2007, the 4 of us went to visit Sunbeam Village and participated in an awards ceremony. It was a memorable experience, Sunbeam had great facilities, amazing staff support and most of all healthy children all over the place! It’s great to know every penny raised was put into good use and that our efforts were well worth the cause.

Everyone please show us your love again and donate to Sunbeam, don’t hide because I will carry on bugging you!
