Never thought about vaccinations until my aunt popped the question! It looks like travelling to Chile the recommended vaccinations are:

Hepatitis A
Typhoid
Rabies

Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR)
Tetanus-diphtheria
Recommended for all travelers
For travelers who may eat or drink outside major restaurants and hotels
 For travelers who may have direct contact with animals and may not have access to medical care

What kind of training have I been doing?

Up till my knee injury I had been training religiously 4 times a week and a break down is as follows:-
Sunday: Long run (20km-25km)
Monday: Easy treadmill 20mins jog
Tuesday: Rest
Wednesday: Interval training 8 sets of max speed 400m with 1.5minutes rest in between.
Thursday: 10km tempo run
Friday: Rest
Saturday: Rest
